TV Series "North East’s New Top model" Gears Up

After the colourful success of  the Northeast’s first ever fashion TV reality show - North East’s New Top model, Sanchita Production is back again with the chapter 2 of the series. A fashion reality television series, where kids, men and women from different parts of the Northeast vie for the titles - MR, MISS, MRS & KIDS, the show is a wonderful platform for the contestants to begin their career in the modeling industry.

The series is going to be hosted by a well-known celebrity from the Assamese film industry and it will be judged by three reputed personalities from the world of fashion. The series will be mentored by a popular model, an image consultant and grooming experts. The State’s renowned fashion designer and choreographer Prasantt Ghosh will provide his expertise as the grooming grand master along with the noted fashion designer Garima Saikia Garg, while Ajay Malakar will choreograph the dances. During the special stunt and task round, Mahadev Deka, who won the Mr Universe Muscle Mania contest at Florida, USA, in 2009, and Pradhan Dewri, the popular action director, will perform as the jury members.

Auditions of the series will be held in different places of the North East. The chosen finalists will be able to compete for the show. The online audition of this show is also going on. In order to participate, one can send their entries to northeastnewtopmodel@gmail.com or call 8134933686.

The contestants will be groomed in different aspects of the competition by the celebrities in different groups. It’s not just a fashion show, but a reality show where the contestants will be given different challenges and tasks to prove themselves.

The winners of the competition will receive cash prizes along with a year-long contract with Sanchita Production. The Northeastern States have their own colourful traditional attires, which are quite different from each other. These dresses are a far cry from dresses like lehenga cholis, sarees and salwar kameezes, usually worn by women in the rest of India. The traditional attire worn by the women of Northeast India are vibrant and unique, as has been the case with the traditional jewellery, which have a charm of their own. The show plans to highlight and showcase the traditional dresses and jewellery worn by different tribes and communities of the region. The show is produced under the banner of Sanchita Production by Jyoti Kakati and directed by Sanchita Talukdar.
