Assamese Film "Astittwa" to be Release on November 8

Astittwa – an Assamese feature film, produced by Nazim Ahmed under the banner of ‘Skyplex Motion Pictures International’, and written and directed by Mirza Arif Hazarika, is all set to release all over the State on November 8. Inspired by Dr Bhupen Hazarika’s immortal song – Aami Axomiya Nohou Dukhiya, the film revolves around the life of Lachit Hazarika, a commoner, and his fight for his very existence.


The film makes a major statement about our long-cherished values which are fast disappearing. We are losing respect for our customs, culture and tradition, had hardly any meaning in his eyes.


The film features a number of veteran and new artistes like Dinesh Das, Brajen Borah, Bibhuti Bhusan Hazarika, Siddhartha Mukherjee, Lonishri Das, Durgashri Bora, Manuj Gogoi, Rohit Choudhury, Bibhash Sinha, Runumi Devi, Mahibur Rehman, Smriti Das, Jyoti Shankar, Rajib Kro, Kuldeep Bora, among others. 



The only song in the film is composed by Tarali Sharma. Besides Tarali Sharma, the playback singing has been done by Debanjana Baishya, Manoj Baishnab and Ripunjoy Sarma. The background score is done by Dony Hazarika. While Nahid Ahmed has done the film’s cinematography, Jhulan Krishna Mahanta has handled the film’s editing. The film’s associate director is Jim Alam.
