The Azara, Guwahati born actress Swapna, who has been living in Delhi for the past ten years, was recently conferred with the Shahid Bhagat Singh Award. Swapna, who has been involved as an actress and scriptwriter in a number of serials, telefilms and feature films, was presented with the award by popular Bollywood actor Raza Murad at a function held in Delhi’s Shah Auditorium.
Besides conducting aerobics classes, the actress of Assamese films like ‘Bisphuran’, ‘Nilkantha’ and ‘Anal’ has been teaching acting to students at MIFA, Delhi’s well-known film academy. This petite yet attractive actress, who has been a passionate believer in arts, even showcased her acting talent in two Haryanvi movies. Some of her notable serials as an actress are ‘Ghat-Pratighat’, ‘Kaalchakra’, ‘Malati’, ‘Juwai’, ‘Jeevan Junak’, ‘Manoranjan’, etc. Her video films include ‘Hiya’, ‘Babur Biya’, ‘Aam Khale Kune’, etc.
