The founder of North East’s leading NGO ‘NEEDS’, Amardeep Paul was conferred with the International Glory of India-2016 Award for his role in promoting global integration and economic development. Former Central Minister and Governor, Visma Narayan Singh presented this prestigious award to Amardeep Paul at a glittering function held at India International Centre at Singapore on January 28, 2017. The award is given to prominent Indians scattered from different parts of the world who have made significant impact in various areas of life. This year, altogether five personalities from five different zones of India were awarded.
Amardeep Paul is the first person from the North East to receive this prestigious award. Representatives from 15 countries and around 300 guests attended the award function where the economical development of India was elaborately discussed. Paul spoke about the role played by his NGO ‘NEEDS’ which has been playing an active role in checking the price hike in the North East since the last five years. While dedicating this award to the people of North East, Paul feels that this recognition will definitely inspire him up to work even harder.
