A new Assamese film titled ‘Kokaidew Bindaas’, produced under the banner of Dream Production, is currently being worked around at the editing table. The film’s executive producer is Anupam Hazarika, and is being directed by Dhruva J Bordoloi, whose debut film ‘Dooronir Nirola Poja’ won the hearts of audiences with its socially relevant theme.
The film, addressing the contemporary mindset of the youth, is being scripted by Chinmoy Sarma. ‘Kokaidew Bindaas’ is the story of two brothers, their aspirations and views on love, life and marriage. The film with its share of suspense and drama, depicts the joys, pains and frustrations in the lives of the characters. Like his debut effort, Dhruva is confident of coming up with a tale that will engage the viewers.
The characters of the two brothers are being played by Gunjan Bhardwaj and newcomer Manoj Borkotoky. Alishmita Goswami and Junu Nath are their romantic interests. Others in the cast include Suren Mahanta, Junu Barua, Nikumani Baruah, Pratibha Choudhury, Zabir Sayed, Gopmani Gogoi, Amitabh Rajkhowa, Rahul Bora, Nilakshi Saikia, Adrita Parasha Mahanta, Mintu Baruah, Dr Jayanta Das, Prankrishna Mahanta, Priti Pari Mahanta, Shehnaz Khan, etc.
‘Kokaidew Bindaas’s music is directed by Manas Robin. The film is cinematographed by Papu Deka in the locations of Sivasagar, Tezpur, Shillong, Cherrapunji, Bengaluru, etc. The film is being edited by Ratan Sil Sarma at the Studio Box Music in Guwahati. As informed by Anupam Hazarika, the filmmakers are planning to release the film during the Sarodio Utsav.
