After ‘Paglee’, Assamese film ‘Ruf & Tuf’ is going to hit the theatres on December 16. The produced by Narendra N. Sinha under the banner of ‘Norman Studio Works’, has story, screenplay and dialogues penned by the director Mani Sinha himself. The story revolves around a boy and a girl of contrasting characters. The boy, a suspended police officer, is quite aggressive with little self-esteem, whereas the girl, a physician by profession, is sweet and simple. But despite their contrasting characters, situations bring them closer, and before long, love ensues. However, things are not that rosy for the love birds, as they confront a lot of problems and difficulties on the road ahead.
‘Ruf & Tuf’ contains some heart-stopping action scenes, but its basically a romantic story. The various roles in the film are essayed by Gunjan Bhardwaj, Gargi Khristi, Pran Krishna Mahanta, Satyen Sarma, Biren Hazarika, Anurupa Deka Raja, Jharna Bishaya, Rajen Neog, Bangkim Rabha, Gunajit Boro, Doli Rani Devi, Debojit Majumdar, Rupam Chakraborty, etc. Although Gargi has appeared in a brief role in ‘Adomya’, ‘Ruf & Tuf’ features her in the lead alongside rising star Gunjan Bhardwaj. The film’s music is scored by Rideep Das. A romantic number in this film is rendered by Zubeen Garg and Priyanka Bharali.
The film’s cinematography is done by Mumbai based Aman Jha with the Red-Epic camera. The action scenes are directed by Pradhan Dewri, who has, over the course of his journey in the film and theatre industry, honed his art to a different level. Make-up is done by Nihar Ranjan Goswami. The director is confident of reaching out to the audiences in a big way.
