The award winning Assamese movie ‘Maj Rati Keteki’, directed by Dr Santwana Bardoloi will be commercially released in theatre halls on 27 October. Addressing the reporters at Guwahati Press Club on Thursday morning, Dr Bardoloi also added that she expected positive response from the audience across Assam.
Speaking about the present crisis of Assamese film industry, the ‘Adajya’ fame director commented that the number of movie goers for regional cinemas should be increased. However, the acclaimed performer on radio & theatre asserted that the general audience of Assam must also come forward to support the industry.

Even though she admitted that the producer of an Assamese movie hardly gets back the money invested in the production, but the crowded response from the audience in cinema halls encourages a responsible film maker to start a new and honest venture.
