Du Du Dubai : New Assamese Film Directed by Ashim Baishya

Dubai, home to some of the world’s tallest skyscrapers, and it’s gorgeous countryside have served as the principal photography locations of new Assamese film Du Du Dubai. The film directed by popular choreographer Ashim Baishya and produced by Bikul Dutta under the banner of Dreams Production filmed major scenes in places with landmark sites like Bruj Khalifa, Bruj Al Arab, Dubai Mall, Desert Safari, Dubai Marina, Gold Sock etc. The film’s story, script and dialogues have been penned by Bikul Dutta.

Assamese Film Du Du Dubai

The story of the film revolves around a poor boy who despite completing his engineering degree fails to find a job. But hard work and patience finally pays off one day. His realizes his own dream after settling down in Dubai.

Various roles in the film are essayed by Bikul Dutta, Kalpana Kalita, Hima Kakati among others. An oil engineer of American based multinational company called Schlumberger, Bikul Dutta was quite keen to shoot the movie in Dubai as he had lived there and other Middle East places in the past, including Oman, and is quite accustomed to their culture, habits, language among other things. Like his debut movie Love in Bangkok, here too, Dutta shares some passionate moments with the movie’s leading nymphets on foreign shores. The film will display his dancing skills as well. Off course, several new girls make their feature film debut here.

Du Du Dubai

Du Du Dubai’s music is scored by Pranjal Pradip Bharali. The film includes 5 tracks of different flavor among which 4 have been written by Somiran Malay and one by Tulika Das. The songs are choreographed by Ashim Baishya whereas editing is done by Kailash Duara. Publicity is designed by Kalyan Kumar Kalita.

Bikul Dutta starrer Love in Bangkok directed by Ashim Baishya and produced by cine-journalist Anupam Hazarika has been scheduled for release sometime after the festive season.

  1. It’s good to see Assamese Movies are going beyond the traditional touch n getting commercial like any other film industry…..Assamese film industry must revive keeping an eye to the growing young generation…..Assamese movies must bring positivity rather than depressing stuff…..
