Nayan Nilim, who earned his popularity on the small screen, most notably as Damfool, is now all set to ignite the big screen with his role in the upcoming Assamese film ‘Konwarpuror Konwar’, which will release on January 6. The actor obsessively trained to acquire a macho look for this film, joining other Assamese heroes who have hit the gym in a big way lately. His fans will no doubt be thrilled to see him back in action. The film’s screenplay is written by Munin Barua from a story by Nayan Nilim. The film directed by Rajesh Bhuyan has got thrilling action scenes, comedy and romance, which should appeal the masses. Bhuyan is currently enjoying a career resurgence as a filmmaker with the success of ‘Doordarshan Ati Jantra’.
The film’s music is scored by Paran Borkotoky. The songs are rendered by Zubeen Garg, Papon, Manas Robin, Subasona Dutta and Joy Barua. There is also a poem recited by Manas Robin. Meanwhile, two songs – ‘Haahi Ati..’ rendered by Papon and Zubeen Garg’s ‘Kabita Kenekoi Likhu..’ have garnered a lot of popularity on the social media and YouTube. ‘Konwarpuror Konwar’s cinematography is done by Suman Duwarah, while the editing is executed by Debangkar Bargohain and sound designing is by Debajit Sangmai.
The film produced by Rozey Bhuyan under the banner of Rozey Bhuyan Films also stars Tapashree Kalita, Utpal Das, Amrita Gogoi, Nipon Goswami, Bishnu Khargharia, Hiranya Deka, Saurav Hazarika, Juan Dutta, Rina Bora, Manoj Gogoi, Antariksh Saharia, Siddartha Sarma, etc. Apart from the theatres of Assam, the film will be screened for the Assamese diaspora living in cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, etc. The film was shot in the locations of Margherita, Shillong, Mirza, Kukurmara and the Jyoti Chitraban Studio. Its hoped that as the year’s first film, ‘Konwarpuror Konwar’ will hit the bull’s eye at the box-office.
