It was year 2008. A young guy from Kakopothar, Tinsukia who was learning about the film making in Jyoti Chirtraban, started an independent production house named Mayamoora Production to make some short films & documentary. Later two films Chaak-Soni and Untitled (Onamangkito) from this production house made into various national and international film festivals like; Indian Cine Film Festival-2014, Mumbai, Viewster Online Film Festival, Switzerland & Fic Puebla Festival Internacional De Cine, Mexico. Yes, the young guy is none other than budding Assamese film maker Jaicheng Jai Dohutia and yesterday, Mayamoora Production launched their official website: www.mayamooraproduction.com.
Mayamoora Production is going to focus on worldwide promotions of the North-East India’s incredible tribes, along with their hopes, dreams, pains etc. through film, photography and audio. “Two thousands and fourteen” and “La Untouched Paradise” are two upcoming projects of this production house. Other team members of Mayamoora Production include Chida Bora, Manash Protim Dutta, Abdul Gani, Debajit Gayan, Jhulan Krishna Mahanta, Nabanita Borgohain, Jitplavan Ray, Dhirujyoti Buragohain and Paran Sharma.
