A new Assamese movie, titled ‘Dooronir Nirola Poja’, written, edited and directed by Dhruva J Bordoloi, under the banner of Pixelray Films, is all set for release. Dhruva J Bordoloi is also one of the producers, along with Hemanta Kumar Bordoloi.
The story of the movie revolves around Hiranya Barua, a Private Insurance employee, who shifts with his family of four to a new town. His son Aditya excels in his studies, his daughter Prerna is winning accolades in dance and his wife Manju is an adept homemaker. His long cherished dream of giving his family a simple, honest and fulfilling life seems to be coming to fruition.
Aditya is however a little sceptical about his father’s dream, as he is well aware of the fact that life in this small town may not be that simple and future not quite that rosy.
‘Dooronir Nirola Poja’ is a reminder of the struggle within many small towns of India.
The key roles in the film have been essayed by Mintu Baruah, Jayshree Goswami, Partha Hazarika, Raghavi Duttta, Bibhuti Bhushan Hazarika, Sonia Sarma, Arup Jyoti Rabha, etc. The film’s camerawork has been done by Suruj Deka, music composed by Tony Deori Basumatary and Utkarsh Dhotekar, lyrics penned by Rajdweep, costumes designed by Rumi Bhuyan. The film’s executive producer is Narayan Seal.
