Since 2009, this cultural extravaganza, the first of its kind show in the city, has been attracting massive crowds. This performing art that has its genesis in the Vaishnavite tradition of the State is gradually becoming an entertaining and educative experience for the Guwahatians. What is more important is that many young men and women have shown a keen interest in knowing more details about this art form. Besides entertaining, the festival has contributed immensely in building inter community bridges in Assam. Besides Assamese, BB Creation has held performances in the Boro, Karbi, Mishing, Deori and Chaadri languages with the aim of uniting and integrating the State’s diverse communities. The festival has also attracted the youth, otherwise more immersed in western culture, in sizeable numbers. Raas has been one of the finest aspects of the socio-religious factors unifying our culture and people since time immemorial.
