Sangita, offspring of Manindra Singha and Gauri Singha, was deeply attracted to music as a child. Her mother, who hails from a musical background, perceived her musical talent early on, and has since been tirelessly supporting her.
Besides singing, she is equally adept at dancing, winning a series of competitions both as a singer and dancer, during her school and college days. She has also performed in various cultural stage programs held at various places in Assam and other parts of the country. Though she is currently engaged in a job in Bengaluru, Sangita regularly practices her music. She is also a state level gold medalist in Taekwondo.
