Best Feature Film Award for Antareen in Indian Cine Film Festival, Mumbai

Assamese feature film Antareen (Quest of Sanctuary) directed by debutant Monjul Baruah has won the 'Best Feature Film' award at the 3rd Indian Cine Film Festival (ICFF-2015) in Mumbai. The film is produced by Manabendra Adhikary under the banner of Artha Film. The festival saw a total of 169 entries within India and overseas.

Based on a women-centric, dark psychological story by eminent litterateur Rita Choudhury, ‘Antareen’s screenplay and dialogues are written by Rita Choudhury and Monjul Baruah. ‘Antareen’ features Arun Nath, Urmila Mahanta, Boloram Das, Aparna Dutta Choudhury, Jolly Laskar, Mayukh, Dhruba Prasad Bora, Himangshu Prasad Das, Pranami Bora, Debobrat Borthakur among others. The film is expected to released on next year.

Incidentally, last year, Assamese film “Othello (we too have our Othellos)” produced by Manabendra Adhikary won Best Screenplay Award in feature film category at the same film festival held in Mumbai.
