22 year Old Helms New Assamese Movie

It takes a lot of courage for a young person to take a plunge in film making. A 22-year-old Assamese youth has shown exemplary will-power, resolve and passion to complete a new full-length feature in Assamese titled 'Sugandhi Pokhila'. This film is produced and directed under the banner of NN Films by director Nayanmoni Thakuria. A youthful love story, the film's script and dialogues are written by Dwiban Arya. The film, cinematographed by Mayur Chakravorty and Parag Jyoti Das, is edited by Anendra Dev Sarma. Music is scored by Parthapratim and Pulok Nath. The songs in the film are rendered by Parthapratim, Jharna and B Panchi.

Its not known if the young director's movie is inspired by Hiren Bhattacharya's famous poem of the same name, nevertheless 'Sugandhi Pokhila' is definitely a challenge for Nayanmoni who stood firm to his goal, and completed the project, much to everyone's surprise!

Various roles in 'Sugandhi Pokhila' are essayed by Pulok Nath, Arohan Roy, Bindu Das, Ramzan Bagh Hazarika, Danisha Ahmed, Simanta Mishra, Dharitri Das, Chandana Das, Mukul Borthakur, Rintu Raj, Deepjyoti, Utpal, Ratan, etc. The film is slated to release in February next year.
