Furthermore, the Cine Trust of India has bagged the Northeast Leadership Award since the last two years. As the tradition continues, this year too, some leaders of various sectors will be honoured in an award giving ceremony, which will be followed by a musical function, to be held at Guwahati. As informed by the spokesperson, the event’s time, venue and other details will be announced soon.

In an informal chat with media persons, the Cine Trust of India spokesperson, JP Nath said, "we want to thank the people of Northeast, our sponsors and the media. Without their kind help and support, it wouldn’t have been possible for us to initiate the Arcoiris Film Fest, the Northeast Leadership Award and other activities. We expect the same from you in the near future.”

On the occasion, the Trust also announced the setting up of a new venture - Swastik Initiative, it’s sister concern, which has come into being after 5 years of research in alternative media marketing and advertising. Swastik Initiative is likely to play a significant role in the field of Public Relations, Media Planning, Advertising and Event Management. “We are sure that Swastik Initiative will be a profitable enterprise for the filmmakers of Assamese cinema", the spokesperson added.
