‘Living Legend: Zubeen Garg’ : Zubeen Garg’s Biography Released

A new biographical book entitled - ‘Living Legend: Zubeen Garg’ written by promising actor and writer Chandradittya Sharma got recently released in the presence of eminent celebrities from various walks of life in a colourful ceremony at the Guwahati District Library on the occasion of Maramland Asom Awards 2017. It was a challenging undertaking for Chandradittya who has also previously compiled two books - one on Amitabh Bachchan and the other on Brajen Borah. The book was formally released by noted actor Nipon Goswami. The action hero of Assamese cinema, Brajen Borah who was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and popular yesteryear villain Dinesh Das were also present on the occasion.

It has to be mentioned that nobody from the State has ever attemped such an endeavour before on the celebrated singer. The book chronicles the singer’s illustrious career and musical journey in a detailed manner. Chandradittya has also launched the Amitabh Bachchan Fan Club in Guwahati, and is also a member of Amitabh Bachchan Fan Club in Bengal. He has also appeared twice on the popular television show KBC. Recently, Chandradittya was in the news for winning an online contest - The Othello Challenge. An MBA and Mass Communication student from NDTV, he has acted in several Hindi serials like ‘Sunehre Dhoop Ke Chaon Mein’, ‘Puja Archana’, ‘Mera Gaon Mera Dharam’, ‘Geet Gata Chal’, ‘Satyakam’, ‘Naya Daur’, ‘Zindegi Ki Mehek’, Assamese mega-serials - ‘Buwari No. 1’, ‘Bharaghar’, ‘Aparadh’, ‘Bhoi’, ‘Itu Situ Bohutu, ‘Avijan’, ‘Yeh Dosti’, feature films ‘Papuwe Prem Nokore’, ‘Paglee’, ‘Ebanigi Wari’ (Manipuri), ‘Xosa Prem’, short films ‘Sunuwali Bali’, ‘Puhoror Dikholoi Akhuj’, ‘Aamar Ghar’, ‘Sarathi’, ‘The Changed Scenario’, besides several music videos and documentaries. He is also a film and fashion journalist, martial arts expert and skillful dancer. His parents Arabinda Sarma and Pranati Baruah have been a great source of inspiration.
